Contraindications

Warnings and Precautions
• Thrombocytopenia: Platelet counts are monitored at least monthly during treatment and the dose is adjusted as needed.
• Gastrointestinal toxicity: Adjust the dose of severe diarrhea, constipation, nausea, and vomiting as needed.
• Peripheral neuropathy: Monitor the patient for symptoms of peripheral neuropathy and adjust the dose as needed.
• Peripheral edema: Monitor for fluid retention. Investigate potential causes where appropriate. Adjust the dose as needed.
• Skin reaction: Monitor the patient for rashes and adjust the dose as needed.
• Thrombotic microangiopathy: monitor for signs and symptoms. If you suspect this, discontinue Lucixaz.
• Hepatotoxicity: Monitor liver enzymes during treatment.
• Embryo-fetal toxicity: Lucixaz can cause fetal harm. Inform the patient of the potential risks to the fetus and use effective non-hormonal contraception.

Medication risks

Adverse Reactions
The most common adverse reactions (≥ 20%) are diarrhea, constipation, thrombocytopenia, peripheral neuropathy, nausea, peripheral edema, vomiting, and back pain.
