Contraindications

Warnings and Precautions
• Cardiomyopathy: Ejection fraction is assessed before starting treatment, every 3 months in the first year, every 6 months thereafter, and as clinically indicated. Suspend, reduce the dose, or permanently discontinue LuciSelume, depending on the severity of the adverse reaction.
• Ocular toxicity: ophthalmologic assessment before starting LuciSelume, periodically during treatment, and in the event of new or worsening vision changes. Permanently discontinue LuciSelume to treat retinal vein occlusion (RVO). Suspend LuciSelume for retinal pigment epithelial detachment (RPED), monitor with optical coherence tomography assessment until remission, then resume at a lower dose.
• Gastrointestinal toxicity: Patients are advised to start taking antidiarrheals and increase fluid intake immediately after the first episode of dilution. Suspend, reduce the dose, or permanently discontinue LuciSelume, depending on the severity of the adverse reaction.
• Skin toxicity: Monitor for severe rashes. Suspend, reduce the dose, or permanently discontinue LuciSelume, depending on the severity of the adverse reaction.
• Elevated creatinine phosphokinase (CPK): Elevated CPK and rhabdomyolysis may occur. Serum CPK was collected prior to the start of LuciSelume, periodically during treatment, and as clinically indicated. In case of CPK increase, evaluate for rhabdomyolysis or Other. Suspend, reduce the dose, or permanently discontinue LuciSelume, depending on the severity of the adverse reaction.
• Elevated levels of Vitamins E and risk of bleeding: LuciSelume capsules contain Vitamins E, and daily intake of Vitamins E above the recommended or safe limits may increase the risk of bleeding. Patients taking Vitamins K antagonists or antiplatelet medications at the same time may have an increased risk of bleeding.

Adverse Reactions
The most common adverse reactions (≥ 40%) are: vomiting, rash (All), abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, dry skin, fatigue, musculoskeletal pain, fever, acne-like rash, stomatitis, headache, gingivitis, and itching.
