Do not use if allergic to valganciclovir or ganciclovir.

Warnings and Precautions
• Acute renal failure: Acute renal failure may occur in elderly patients (regardless of whether renal function is reduced), patients taking nephrotoxic drugs at the same time, or patients with insufficient hydration. Elderly patients or patients taking nephrotoxic drugs should use caution, and patients with renal insufficiency should reduce the dose and monitor renal function.

Adverse Reactions
• Adult patients: The most common adverse reactions and laboratory abnormalities (at least 20% of patients report at least one adverse reaction) are diarrhea, pyrexia, fatigue, nausea, tremor, neutropenia, anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, headache, insomnia, urinary tract infection, and vomiting.
• Pediatric patients: The most common adverse reactions and laboratory abnormalities (reported by at least 20% of pediatric solid organ transplant recipients) are diarrhea, fever, upper respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, vomiting, neutropenia, leukopenia, and headache.

【Drug interactions】
• Imipenem-cilastatin: Seizures were reported in patients treated with valganciclovir and imipenem-cilastatin. It is not recommended to use it together unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks.
• Cyclosporine or amphotericin B: Risk of nephrotoxicity may increase when co-administered with valganciclovir. Monitor renal function.
• Mycophenolate (MMF): Hematology and nephrotoxicity risk may increase when co-administered with valganciclovir. Monitor for valganciclovir and MMF toxicity.
• Other medications related to myelosuppression or nephrotoxicity: Due to possible increased toxicity, concomitant use with valganciclovir should only be considered if it is judged that the potential benefits outweigh the risks.
• Didanosin: co-administration of valganciclovir with didanosin may increase didanosin levels. Monitor for ditanosine toxicity (e.g., pancreatitis).
• Propranolol: may increase the concentration of valganciclovir. Evidence for monitoring valganciclovir toxicity.
