Contraindications
Warnings and Precautions
• Palmoplantar Redness Syndrome: depending on the severity, interrupt LuciRip and resume with the same or reduced dose
• New primary cutaneous malignancies: Dermatological assessments are performed at the start of LuciRip and at regular intervals during treatment.
• Blood Pressure: Do not use LuciRip on uncontrolled Blood Pressure patients and monitor blood pressure during treatment. Depending on the severity, interrupt LuciRip and resume or permanently discontinue at the same or reduced dose.
• Cardiac dysfunction: Ejection fraction is assessed by echocardiography or Muga scan before and during treatment as clinically indicated. For grade 3 or 4 left ventricular systolic dysfunction, permanently discontinue LuciRip.
• Risk of impaired wound healing: Suspend LuciRip for at least 1 week prior to elective surgery. Do not administer for at least 2 weeks after major surgery until the wound has fully healed. The safety of LuciRip recovery after resolution of wound healing complications has not been determined.
• Photosensitivity: May cause a photosensitive reaction. Patients are advised to limit direct UV exposure.
• Embryo-fetal toxicity: May cause harm to the fetus. Women of childbearing potential are advised to be aware of potential risks to the fetus and to use effective contraception.
Medication risks
Adverse Reactions
The most common adverse reactions (≥ 20%) are hair loss, fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain, constipation, myalgia, diarrhea, decreased appetite, redness of the soles of the palms and feet, paresthesia, and vomiting. The most common grade 3 or 4 laboratory abnormalities (≥ 4%) are increased lipase and decreased phosphate.
【Drug interactions】
• Potent CYP3A inhibitors: Monitor for adverse reactions more frequently.
• Potent CYP3A inducers: Avoid concomitant use of potent CYP3A inducers.
• Intermediate-acting CYP3A inducers: Avoid concomitant use of intermediate-acting CYP3A inducers. If the use of intermediate CYP inducers cannot be avoided, increase the frequency of administration of LuciRip to twice daily.
