Contraindications

Warnings and Precautions
• Diarrhea: LuciAbe can cause severe diarrhea with dehydration and infection. Patients should begin antidiarrheal treatment as soon as they experience symptoms of thinning stools, increase the volume of oral fluids, and notify their healthcare provider.
• Neutropenia: Complete blood counts are monitored every 2 weeks for the first 2 months prior to initiation of LuciAbe treatment and monthly thereafter for 2 months and as clinically indicated.
• Interstitial lung disease (ILD)/pneumonia: Serious and fatal cases of ILD/pneumonia have been reported. Clinical symptoms or radiological changes suggestive of ILD/pneumonia should be monitored. LuciAbe should be permanently discontinued for all patients with grade 3 or 4 ILD or pneumonia.
• Hepatotoxicity: Elevated serum transaminase levels have been observed. Liver Function Test (LFT) should be performed before starting LuciAbe treatment. Liver function (LFT) is monitored every two weeks for the first two months and every two months thereafter and as clinically indicated.
• Venous thromboembolism: The signs and symptoms of thrombosis and pulmonary embolism are monitored and treated according to medical conditions.
• Embryo-fetal toxicity: May cause damage to the fetus. Patients are advised to be aware of potential risks to the fetus and to take effective contraception.

Medication risks

Adverse Reactions
The most common adverse reactions (incidence ≥ 20%) are diarrhea, neutropenia, nausea, abdominal pain, infection, fatigue, anemia, leukopenia, decreased appetite, vomiting, headache, hair loss, and thrombocytopenia.
