Medication risks

Severe allergies, permanently discontinue Aperis and begin appropriate treatment in a timely manner.
In some cases, Apelis can cause severe hyperglycemia associated with hyperglycemic non-ketotic syndrome (HHNKS) or ketoacidosis by detecting fasting plasma glucose (FPG), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and optimizing blood glucose prior to starting treatment with this product. After starting treatment, monitor regularly.
Apelis can cause severe pneumonia and interstitial lung disease. Monitor for clinical symptoms or radiological changes. In case of pneumonia, permanently discontinue Aperis.
Apelis can cause severe diarrhea, leading to dehydration and, in some cases, acute kidney damage, as well as colitis, monitoring for diarrhea and other symptoms of colitis, including abdominal pain, mucus or blood in the stool. Interrupt, reduce dose, or permanently discontinue Aperis depending on the severity of diarrhea or colitis.
Appellis can cause fetal harm. Patients are advised of potential risks to the fetus and effective contraception.
Avoid contact with strong CYP3A4 inducers.
Avoid BCRP inhibitors in patients treated with Alpelisib. If no alternative medication is available, the increased side effects are closely monitored.
Aperis should be closely monitored when used in conjunction with CYP2C9 drugs, which may decrease activity when plasma concentrations are lowered.
