• Hyperuricemia: Serum uric acid has increased. Regularly assess uric acid levels as clinically indicated. Monitor for signs and symptoms of hyperuricemia and initiate treatment with uric acid-lowering medications as appropriate.
• Tendon rupture: Tendon rupture has occurred. BEMPEDIS should be discontinued as soon as there are signs of tendon rupture. Patients with a history of tendon disease or rupture should avoid BEMPEDIS.
AEs:
• The most common (incidence ≥ 2% and higher than placebo) adverse reactions include upper respiratory tract infections, muscle spasms, hyperuricemia, back pain, abdominal pain or discomfort, bronchitis, pain in extremities, anemia, and elevated liver enzymes.

180 mg once daily and can be taken with food or on an empty stomach.
BEMPEDIS is an adenosine triphosphate-citrate lyase (ACL) inhibitor for the adjuvant diet and maximum tolerated dose statin therapy in adult patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia or diagnosed atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease requiring further reduction of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C).
Use restrictions: The effect of BEMPEDIS on cardiovascular morbidity and mortality has not been determined.
